A long while ago I wrote about my desire to harvest and make use of the rose hips from a bush near our house. I eventually did collect a good amount of them and decided to make them into a tincture. I tried first drying them and taking the seeds out, but it was a tedious process and I soon gave up. I figured I might get some extra nutrients out of the seeds anyhow. The rose hips sat in the vodka for a very long time and today, I finally finished the tincture by straining it through some cheese cloth and bottling it. I can only imagine how much vitamin C is in each dropper-full. This should be a very good remedy for the winter, to keep the colds and flu away!
